FOWA activities provide important opportunities for networking with other industry professionals. Education classes, meetings and attending the convention provide members with a chance to develop friendships and gain valuable insight from fellow contractors.
FOWA retains a full time lobbyist to monitor and sponsor legislation during the annual state legislative session, and to work closely with governmental agencies that affect the onsite wastewater industry.
All onsite contractors are required to take 12 hours of training every year and every Master Contractor must attend 18 CEU hours. FOWA offers classes at our training center and at convenient locations throughout Florida. Members receive a special discounted rate. Classes at our annual Convention & Trade Show offer members the best value.
FOWA also offers safety training materials at no charge for its members to educate their employees.
FOWA promotes and protects the onsite wastewater industry. We communicate with the news media, governmental agencies, and other organizations that relate to the onsite wastewater industry, providing information about the benefits of onsite systems.
Members receive The Voice newsletter, which is published quarterly. This publication provides legislative updates, information on industry innovations, member news and training schedules . FOWA also publishes an online Buyer's Guide for its annual trade show.
FOWA notifies industry professionals via emails and postcards of upcoming training and meetings that will be held in their area so they can attend classes that are convenient to them.
